SPECIAL EDUCATOR: REFLECTIONS AND CRITICISM ABOUT HIS PEDAGOGICAL PRACTICE

ABSTRACT: this text intends to bring some reflections about how the special educator should orient his educational actions, in case he wishes to promote quality education to some people who find themselves, many times, distant from the scholar space. Thus, an analysis of the specialist teacher’s functions will be performed, giving emphasis to pedagogical strategies that still promote the segregation of these pupils in the current educational scenery. In the course of textual analysis, the pre-supposed facts of the socio-historical Psychology were used to understand theoretically the reflections presented about the special educator’s performance.
